Is it a free event ?
The main objective of this event is about creation, sharing and meeting like-minded people.
We are not seeking any profit in this event other than the enrichment of everyone.
With this in mind, the cost of participation in this event will be completely free.
Besides this, we will only ask you for a small contribution during the screening to cover the rental of the space.
Is it a competition ?
The Mini-Kino event is intended to be places of creation and discovery, for all levels and backgrounds, therefore offering neither competition nor winning prizes.
What are the technical rules for films?
Format: MP4.
Codec: H.264.
Resolution: free to choose.
Frame rate: free to choose.
Bitrate: 30mb/s maximum.
Duration: 5 minutes maximum.
What should the language of the film be ?
You are free to choose the language you want. if it is not English, please attach English subtitles.
How to send us your movie ?
All movies must be uploaded via send.tresorit.com.
Then the link have to be sent to mini-kino@mistecko.art before December 10th 2024, 23:59.
In your mail specify your team, and a short description of the movie.
If your movie is bigger than 5GB (it should not), please contact us.
Can I join this edition remotely ?
A remote participation is welcome. This means you can join us from any location even if we prefer to have you with us. If you choose this option, you have to preregister and we will send you a video of your assignment on May 19th.
What is the maximum team size ?
You have the choice to participate on your own or as a team. If you come "in person", we will need to know your team members when registering.
The team limit is 5 members.
Where do the rules come from ?
The rules were generously written by visitors to the Místečko's gallery.
What if I don't like my rule ?
Before confirming your registration, you can exchange your rule with other participants. But keep in mind that the goal is to get out of your comfort zone. A rule that is far from your wish can push creativity even further.
What is our philosophy ?
Born from the desire to transmit a passion for audiovisual creation, Mini-Kino aims to establish a creative environment for all.
We believe in the potential of everyone and try to push people to action.
Additionally, we use a rule assignment system which refers to the famous Oblique Strategies, a card-based method promoting creativity, created by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt.
